Gas Alarm Control Cabinet
The Gas Alarm Control Cabinet serves as the technical core of the AIRPPB shipboard gas detection system, collecting, evaluating, and acting on every detector signal on board. Capable of processing inputs from up to 112 field devices, it compares readings against configured thresholds and initiates alarms, ventilation start, and fire-protection linkage.

Architecture and Data Flow
Field devices return measurements as analog or digital signals to the industrial control core, which scans every channel, compares values against configured thresholds, and applies soft fault detection to distinguish genuine readings from wiring or sensor faults. Results are displayed on distributed control panels and forwarded to vessel systems. The localized industrial control platform allows hardware and software adaptation during new-build projects without dependency on overseas suppliers.
Interfaces & System Integration
The cabinet integrates detectors, sampling cabinets, repeaters, and area audible/visual alarms. It drives ventilation start, fire-suppression triggers, and data exchange with PLC, DCS, and vessel alarm monitoring systems.
