Gas leaks are among the core safety risks to lives and assets in the marine and offshore sector. As a BV type-approved gas detection device, the Gas Alarm Control Cabinet is increasingly the first choice of shipowners, shipyards and offshore operators.
The Gas Alarm Control Cabinet is the central control hub of the AIRPPB marine gas detection system. Developed to fill a gap in the marine gas detection market, it is a fully self-developed solution and a reliable alternative to imported systems.
The system comprises gas detectors and the alarm control cabinet. Detectors use TDLAS (Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy) technology for methane detection, with point-type detectors or sampling cabinets selected according to the area. Built on a high-efficiency industrial control platform, the cabinet collects up to 112 field signals and features a distributed control panel, delivering industrial-grade marine methane safety detection and triggering audible & visual alarms and fire-fighting interlocks.

Equipment must pass classification society type approval before being installed on marine and offshore vessels. The Gas Alarm Control Cabinet has received BV type approval as part of the gas detection and alarm system, meaning its design, testing and production have all been validated by an international authority and it can be used on classed vessels worldwide.
In the marine and offshore sector, gas detection equipment can only be installed onboard after passing type approval by an internationally recognized classification society. This product holds a Type Approval Certificate issued by Bureau Veritas (BV), confirming that its design, manufacture and performance fully meet the classification requirements for international voyages and offshore installations.
