Product Description
Gas Detector Instrument with OPC UA Protocol and BV Type Approval
GCF-M10 Gas Alarm Control Cabinet

BV Type Approved • Complete Product Analysis

AIRPPB Marine & Offshore Gas Detection Series | 112-Channel Central Control • Dual Power Redundancy • OPC UA Protocol • 30-Minute Backup After Power Loss

Gas leaks are among the core safety risks to lives and assets in the marine and offshore sector. As a BV type-approved gas detection device, the GCF-M10 Gas Alarm Control Cabinet is increasingly the first choice of shipowners, shipyards and offshore operators.

Product Overview

The GCF-M10 Gas Alarm Control Cabinet is the central hub of the marine gas detection system, installed in the watch room or control room. It receives concentration signals from gas detectors, displays real-time readings, triggers audible & visual alarms on exceedance, and can interlock with ventilation equipment, PLC, DCS and fire-fighting systems.

A large LCD and an intuitive interface make operation simple, while proprietary software-based noise immunity provides soft-fault detection for high reliability and easy maintenance.

Key Features
  • Dual power supply redundancy with independent backup, sampling cycle < 8 ms
  • Rugged cabinet design - corrosion-resistant and vibration-proof
  • Zoned monitoring - touchscreen supports zone-based monitoring and the OPC UA protocol
  • Cascade design - free combination of 112 inputs and 32 outputs
  • Main/backup power design - 112 detectors keep working for 30 minutes after a power outage
Typical Applications
  • LNG carriers and LNG-fueled vessels
  • Bulk carriers, tankers and chemical carriers
  • Offshore platforms and FPSOs
  • Shipyards and newbuilds during sea trials
  • Any vessel or offshore installation requiring centralized monitoring with fire-fighting interlocks

Why Choose a BV-Approved Product

Equipment must pass classification society type approval before being installed on marine and offshore vessels. The GCF-M10 has received BV type approval as part of the gas detection and alarm system, meaning its design, testing and production have all been validated by an international authority and it can be used on classed vessels worldwide.

BV Type Approval - A Dual Guarantee of Quality and Compliance

In the marine and offshore sector, gas detection equipment can only be installed onboard after passing type approval by an internationally recognized classification society. This product holds a Type Approval Certificate issued by Bureau Veritas (BV), confirming that its design, manufacture and performance fully meet the classification requirements for international voyages and offshore installations.
